Excuse the chaos…

…while we are going through our transformation. Dream Lizard Creations editorial and writing services is metamorphosing into Dream Lizard Creations Press! We have some exciting projects in the pre-production stage, which will be revealed as contracts are finalized. In the interim, this website is being renovated. Stop back for a visit to see what materializes.

We will still take on editorial and writing projects, so send an email if you would like an estimate.

November is the month to write

Even though the free shipping offer ended yesterday, you can still purchase the 2014 Guide to Self-Publishing (featuring my article on “Why and How to Hire a Freelance Editor”) for $19.97  over at the Writer’s Digest shop.

Today and tomorrow, November 1 and 2, you can get a free copy of A Blackbird Sings (featuring a one of my small poems) to celebrate Mindful Writing Day–a practice run today for writing ‘small stones’ each day in January–sponsored by the lovely folks at Writing Our Way Home.

November is the month that many writers choose to participate in month-long writing challenges. Whether you write poetry, fiction or nonfiction, there is a challenge for you!

And if, come November 30 (or sooner!), you have a novel or nonfiction masterpiece in need of editing, contact me for an editing estimate. Together we can polish your words and make them shine!

Getting ready for a busy spring

I am working on some exciting projects, starting this spring. Planning has begun on workshops on writing (poetry and essay writing for preserving your genealogy and ancestral remembrance) at the newly forming community Folk School. If you live near Sandpoint, Idaho, stay tuned, as there will be a catalog of classes published in April.

I continue to supply the occasional gardening article to the local newspaper–just finished one on heirloom vegetable varieties–and I have begun to write my booklet on herbal remedies for chickens (there will be a workshop on this scheduled sometime in May or June).

There is also my own genealogical research project and many poems to edit into a chapbook. So much to look forward to! Plus, there is a “spring fling” that I am offering on newsletters until Easter (April 4). Contact me for information and a quote on creating and/or maintaining and editing your newsletter.
